Program Overview

Welcome to Ohemma Ku (Queen’s Society) Rites of Passage!

Rites of Passage have a central role in socialization. It is the experience of significant change or transition that marks or identifies the movement from one stage of life, circumstances to another; and is usually accompanied by a ceremony that acknowledges that transformation through family and community acceptance. Rites of Passage enable women to both celebrate and cope with the many changes that women face throughout their lives.
